Are you a white wine connoisseur looking for your new favorite? A red wine lover who’s open to persuasion? A lover of all things wine, red or white? Whatever your opinions of white wine may be, we believe there’s a satisfying white for just about everyone. Here’s a guide to the white wines of Rio Vista!
2020 Estate Chardonnay
We know Chardonnay can be a point of contention among wine enthusiasts. Many people have opinions one way or the other on this varietal. But even wines of the same name can vary drastically. Keep an open mind and you might be pleasantly surprised at what you find! Our bright and layered 2020 Estate Chardonnay is dynamic, with creaminess and acidity finding a balance for a refreshing finish. This vibrant white wine boasts elegant notes of lemon and Bartlett pear with hints of jasmine and honeydew melon on the nose. Pair it with seafood like salmon or shellfish for a delectable meal.
2020 Sauvignon Blanc
The Sauvignon Blanc grape is best known for its bright acidity and minerality. Our 2020 vintage retains this signature quality while offering a creamy mid-palate. This complex wine is exquisitely layered if we do say so ourselves. You’ll experience aromas of green apple, grapefruit and Kaffir lime with notes of white peach and papaya. A lingering finish will leave you savoring every sip. It’s a perfect white for a hot summer’s day on the river. Our go-to wine pairing? Goat cheese. Pack a charcuterie picnic and enjoy on the lawn at Rio Vista on the River!
2020 Estate Voignier
In the mood for something tropical? Look no further than our 2020 Estate Viognier. With notes of peach, banana, pineapple, guava, and passionfruit, you’ll be instantly transported to a tropical island as you sip away. Despite its juicy flavors, this full-flavored white is on the drier side with 0.3% residual sugars. The full viscosity and long finish make for a pleasant, refreshing summertime sipper. Pairs well with sand between your toes and hot sun overhead.
2020 Estate Wacky White
This unforgettable blend is 70% Chardonnay and 30% Viognier. It’s luscious, vibrant, and everything you could want in a white wine. Notes of Meyer lemon and honeycrisp apple with a hint of buttered croissant characterize this satisfying and smooth blend. We’re rather proud of this particular white wine blend and when you taste it, we’re confident you’ll understand why. Consider pairing this flavorful blend with a spicy noodle dish or grilled chicken.
