Rio Vista is the only winery on the river in North Central Washington and you can come by car, by boat or float plane! We don’t have a dock, but there is a long stretch of sandy beach with a shade hut, floats, or trees to tie up to.
See below a few tips to help find us!
If you’re coming by river:
- We are 8 miles north of the Beebe Bridge boat launch
- We are about two miles south of the Wells Dam boat launch.
- Look for the rustic shade hut along the west side of the river.
- Look for our sign on the deck of the winery.
If you’re coming by land
- From Chelan: (only 10 minutes)
- Go to Highway 97 out of Chelan and turn north toward Pateros.
- Travel about 3 1/2 miles past the 97/97A junction and watch for milepost 243.
- Go 1/2 mile farther, turn right at the bank of mailboxes onto the gravel road.
- Follow signs to Rio Vista Winery!
- From the South on State Hwy 97: (Wenatchee, Orondo)
- Drive to Beebe Bridge, (near Chelan Falls) which crosses the Columbia River from Douglas County into Chelan County.
- Travel North on SR 97 about 8 miles – about .5 mile past milepost 243 will be a bank of mailboxes – turn ‘right’ here.
- Follow signs to Rio Vista Winery!
- From the North on State Hwy 97 (Canada, Omak, Winthrop, Pateros)
- Travel South on State Hwy 97 to Pateros.
- Our turnoff is 10.2 miles South of Pateros, or 2.5 miles South of Wells Dam.
- You will turn Left at the bank of mailboxes .5 miles past milepost 244.
- Follow signs to Rio Vista Winery!
