RIO VISTA WINES, the Winery on the River, is a hidden jewel on the banks of the sparkling Columbia River and the only waterfront winery. You can visit by car, boat or float plane. If you can’t come by boat or plane, watching from one of the three decks or landscaped lawns while savoring a glass of fine wine is an enjoyable experience.

The French have a saying that the best wines come from grapes grown along a river. That’s certainly true here at Rio Vista Wines. Our grapes thrive and flourish in the exceptional micro climate created by the river, the long hot summer days, the moderate winters and the unique geology of the glacial soil. It’s a great place for people to thrive and flourish, too.

Accolades for Rio Vista Wines
Wow! Rio Vista’s 2009 Cab Sauv. rated “Outstanding” by the Spring, 2013 edition of Wine Press Northwest. Rio Vista Wines joined such acclaimed wineries as Leonetti, Milbrandt, Mercer, L’Ecole, and Waterbrook in this honor.
Rio Vista was presented with a gold plaque for being named a WASHINGTON STATE TOP TEN TASTING ROOM by Seattle Met Magazine, Summer 2012.
Rio Vista 2010 Viognier was awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals; Sunset on the River, Riesling, and Merlot wines earned Silver medals, and Loony Red was presented a Bronze medal in summer wine competitions: The Best of North Central Washington, Washington Wine Competition, and Vineyard & Winery Management Magazine.
